About Us
Contempo’s mission is to offer the finest in contemporary furnishings to the trade: our manufactures include the great names in modern design from American Leather to Verardo. A complete roster of our manufacturers is attached.
Contempo Designs was founded in 1990, and opened the World Trade Center location in the Dallas Design District, where we have 15,000 sq. ft. of showroom. We opened the Contempo Houston in 1994 with 8,000 sq. ft. of showroom in the Houston Decorative Center.
We think it’s important that Contempo has operated under the same management team for over 15 years. We know the business, we know the marketplace, we know the trends. We certainly know the product. Above all, we know your needs and how to fulfill them.

Our internal, one-stop systems take out the drudgery of sourcing, specifying and buying. We handle all billing, consolidating and expediting multiple orders and in general make it a pleasant, efficient experience for you and your clients.
For our part, we also attend major home and commercial furnishings markets in the U.S. and abroad, literally shopping the world for the best for you and your clients.
